About

Hi, I'm Anjali.
I ask "why are we building this?" a lot.

I'm a product designer who kept wandering into product meetings until someone gave me a seat. I've designed for veterinarians running late-night telehealth shifts, for engineers comparing language models, and for event organizers with 4,000 people at the door.

I'm at my best early in a project, when the problem is still fuzzy and nobody agrees on what to build yet. I write a lot along the way (specs, docs, opinions) so decisions stick, and I work closely with engineers: some of my best design calls started as their pushback.

I came to design the long way round. I studied psychology at the University of British Columbia and spent my early career as a therapist working with children and adults with autism, which taught me more about attention, patience, and how people actually behave and it still shapes how I design today.
